Nicholas Galitzine says Hugh Jackman and more Marvel stars inspired his He-Man
The English actor disclosed the tips and tricks he learned from the Logan star on the sets of The Sheep Detectives for his He-Man role.
“I got to work with Hugh Jackman right before I started shooting [Masters of the Universe]and obviously, there was some comedy in Wolverine,” Nicholas Galitzine noted to ComicBook.com. “It’s a drier comedy for sure, but I think just really picking his brain on how to kind of…embody this person who has this kind of this power imbued within them. There was just so many different sort of things I took, and really, a lot of it was there in the script.”
In addition to Jackman, Galitzine also credited Chris Hemsworth’s rendition of Thor, as well as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, for inspiring his take on Adam.
“I have to say, obviously, the first Guardians of the Galaxy was really, actually kind of just very formative for me in terms of watching the genre and seeing how you could combine hard action and comedy,” 31-year-old Galitzine said. “I’d say, you know, how Chris Hemsworth evolved his take on Thor. It was almost more Shakespearean when it first started.”
Host Chris Killian also seemed to agree with the proposed connection between the Eternia prince and Taika Waititi’s take on Thor, stating that Ragnarok looked like a He-Man movie.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine’s Masters of the Universe is on track to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
