How to prevent rotting of vegetables in summer? FSSAI clarified the way

There is no relief in the heat. Waiting for the rain like a chatak bird. Freaky weather all over Bengal. In intense heat, life is oral. But it’s just people’s breath? Looking at the basket of vegetables, the heart of the middle class is bursting. The potal-jing that came from the market in the morning chattering, in the afternoon as if they were all in the ‘ICU’! Anajpati is drying up instantly in summer. Green chillies are turning black and rotting.

If the vegetables are spoiled like this after the market, but it is not normal for the householder to fall on his head! This hazard is due to excessive heat and high humidity. Bacteria and fungi are sitting there. But don’t worry. The ‘Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’ (FSSAI) has stepped in to ease the difficulty. 1. Dry is better, not water

Many people have a habit of washing vegetables after returning from the market and putting them in the fridge. Don’t even forget this mistake, says FSSAI. Water clinging to vegetables is a major catalyst for rotting. So wash the grains well before buying them from the market. Then drain the water and keep it under the fan to dry completely. If necessary, wipe with a dry cotton cloth.

2. The magic of paper towels

Paper towels are not enough to keep vegetables or cilantro fresh for a long time. Vegetables have their own moisture content. Paper towels or blotting paper absorb the excess water. As a result, the leaves do not rot. However, do not use news paper! Chemical inks in newspapers can be reversible if ingested.

3. Say ‘No’ to Plastic, ‘Yes’ to Nets

Putting vegetables in plastic bags from the market? Change the habit today. Air cannot move inside the plastic. As a result, the steam coming out of the vegetable gets accumulated inside and becomes water. And that rots fast. Instead, buy a net or mesh bag from the market. Air circulation is good in net bags. Anajpati is not suffocating. As a result, they stay in the mind for a long time.
