CM will not be changed in Karnataka, Congress rejects all speculations

Amidst speculations about change of Chief Minister in Karnataka, Congress has now given an update regarding the meeting held in Delhi regarding the state. Congress Rajya Sabha MP KC Venugopal has said that a big meeting has been held today regarding Karnataka. In this meeting, there was a detailed discussion regarding Rajya Sabha elections and MLC elections. Whatever other speculations were being made are baseless and wrong. He said that there is no truth of any kind in the speculations.

Congress MP K.C. Venugopal said that today we had extensive discussions with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar and I were present in this discussion. Today the entire discussion was on the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections and Karnataka councilor elections. Whatever you are speculating, there was no discussion on it. Today we just discussed the councilor elections and Rajya Sabha elections, the candidates for which will be announced soon.

Venugopal said that whatever speculations you people are making are mere speculations. There is no truth in them. Today we discussed about Rajya Sabha seats and Legislative Council seats of Karnataka. Candidates for Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council seats in Karnataka will be announced along with seats in other states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand. That is all. This is what we have decided today. Apart from this, no other topic was discussed today.

In fact, there is speculation about power sharing within the Congress, especially regarding Karnataka. DK Shivakumar says that he was promised the post of Chief Minister after the 2023 assembly elections. At present, Congress has not made any formal announcement in this regard.
