Hikal Q4 Results: Net profit falls 71% YoY to Rs 14.4 crore, revenue down 6%

Hikal Limited reported its Q4 FY26 results with weak year-on-year performance across revenue and profitability, although the company showed improvement sequentially compared to the December quarter.

For the quarter ended March 2026, the company posted consolidated revenue from operations of ₹519.4 crore, down 6% YoY compared to ₹552.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. However, revenue increased 5% sequentially from ₹494.3 crore in Q3 FY26.

Net profit attributable to equity holders stood at ₹14.4 crore during Q4 FY26, registering a sharp decline of 71.3% YoY against ₹50.2 crore reported in Q4 FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the company recovered from a net loss of ₹5.9 crore in the previous quarter.

The company’s total income came in at ₹526 crore during the March quarter, compared to ₹552.9 crore in the year-ago period, reflecting a decline of around 4.9% YoY.

Operating performance also weakened during the quarter. Profit before tax before exceptional items stood at ₹55.4 crore versus ₹68.3 crore in Q4 FY25, marking an 18.9% decline YoY. Sequentially, PBT before exceptional items improved sharply from ₹28.8 crore reported in Q3 FY26.

Hikal reported an exceptional loss of ₹47.1 crore during the quarter, compared to an exceptional loss of ₹38 crore in the December quarter, which significantly impacted profitability.

Employee benefit expenses increased to ₹67.2 crore from ₹63.4 crore YoY, while finance costs declined to ₹14.6 crore from ₹17.9 crore. Depreciation and amortisation expenses rose to ₹42 crore compared to ₹37.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
