Rajasthan Petrol Pump On Strike From 1st June: Impact may be seen on petrol pumps in different parts of Rajasthan from June 1. Petrol pump operators of the state have announced to go on strike. Pump owners allege that government oil companies are imposing different conditions on them, due to which it is becoming difficult to run the business. He says that companies are setting limits on selling petrol and diesel and are pressurizing them to sell branded fuel. Whereas, most of the customers want to buy normal petrol and diesel only.

Petrol pump operators allege that if the conditions of the companies are not accepted then regular supply is not given to the petrol pumps. On the other hand, recently the Food Department’s investigation has also found irregularities in many petrol pumps, due to which this matter has come into further discussion.

Accused of putting pressure on pump operators

Petrol Pump Dealers Association President Rajendra Bhati said that Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum And government oil companies like Indian Oil are continuously putting pressure on pump operators. He says that companies are forced to sell branded fuel, while customers demand normal petrol and diesel. Bhati alleged that if the pump operators do not listen to the companies then their fuel supply is affected. This is directly affecting the business.

‘Borrowed fuel during PM Modi’s rallies’

The association has also accused the officials of the Weights and Measures Department of the state government of harassing them. Bhati says that the officials take action by accusing them of giving less petrol or diesel and the pump operators are unnecessarily harassed. He also said that the diesel that was loaned to the vehicles during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies has not been paid yet. Due to this, many pump operators are facing financial losses.

Ban on giving diesel in drums to farmers

Petrol pump operators say that farmers in villages buy diesel to run generators and engines. Usually farmers carry diesel in drums, but now oil companies have banned providing diesel in drums. Operators say that due to this, farmers are facing problems and pump owners are also facing the anger of customers.

Rising prices affect business

According to the Dealers Association, continuously Petrol-Diesel and CNG Due to increasing prices, people have reduced the use of vehicles. This has directly affected sales. Pump operators say that it is becoming difficult to manage the business amid rising expenses and falling sales. For this reason, a decision has been taken to go on strike from June 1 in protest against the policies of the oil companies and the government.

Investigation found irregularities in 110 petrol pumps

Here, a special investigation campaign was conducted by the Food Department of the State Government from May 13 to May 18. During this period, 226 petrol pumps were inspected in different districts of Rajasthan. During investigation, various types of irregularities were found at 110 petrol pumps. Of these, 60 petrol pumps were found where less petrol and diesel was being given to the customers. Taking action, 103 nozzles were seized.
