Harmanpreet: The confidence gained from ODI World Cup victory will be useful in T20 also
The Indian women’s cricket team recently created history by winning its first ODI World Cup title at home. Now the team has its eyes set on its first T20 World Cup title, which starts on June 12 in England and Wales. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that the confidence gained from the victory in the ODI World Cup will make the team stronger in this tournament also.
Harmanpreet told that England is a special place for her because it was here that she made her international debut in 2009. She said that if she could win the T20 World Cup in England itself, it would be her dream come true. The team’s preparations will begin with a three-match T20 series, followed by warm-up matches.
India’s first T20 World Cup match will be against Pakistan on June 14. Harmanpreet stressed that the ability to perform under pressure and consistency is the key to success. The team is included in Group-1 along with strong opponents like Australia, South Africa and Pakistan.
