Recently, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s elder daughter and actress Pooja Bhatt has remembered those difficult days of Parveen Babi in an interview. Pooja told that Parveen Babi was mentally unwell during her last days and the end of her life was very sad.
Serious allegations were made against Amitabh Bachchan
In an interview given to Vicky Lalwani, Pooja Bhatt shared a shocking incident from that period. Pooja told, I remember when she returned, she was sitting in the office of Stardust magazine. There she was using the Xerox machine and giving an interview against superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He claimed that Amitabh Bachchan still wants to take his life.

Pooja Bhatt also revealed that due to mental illness, Parveen was deeply afraid. She could not trust anyone. She felt that people from the film industry had mixed poison in her food, so for safety’s sake she used to survive by eating only eggs.
Controversy between Amitabh Bachchan and Parveen Babi
Parveen Babi and Amitabh Bachchan worked together in many blockbuster films in the 1970s and 80s like ‘Deewar’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Kala Patthar’, ‘Shaan’ and ‘Namak Halal’. At one time there were rumors of their affair, which both of them always rejected. In the early 1980s, Parveen’s mental condition started deteriorating and she started having seizures.
No evidence found against Amitabh
He had filed a police complaint accusing Amitabh Bachchan of being an international gangster and kidnapping him. Parveen claimed that Amitabh had tried to implant a microchip in her ear. When this case was investigated, no evidence was found against Amitabh and doctors confirmed that Parveen was suffering from a serious mental illness called ‘schizophrenia’.

Recalling Parveen’s soft-hearted nature, Pooja Bhatt said that her father Mahesh Bhatt often took her to Parveen’s house. She was very beautiful and had also gifted a perfume to Pooja. Parveen Babi died in January 2005 at the age of just 50. After his death, his body remained unclaimed in Cooper Hospital, Mumbai for several days. At such a time, Mahesh Bhatt came forward, who once had a deep relationship with Parveen, and got Parveen Babi’s mortal remains cremated.
