Saraswati Vidya Mandir Rambagh welcomed the new three-language policy of CBSE.
Basti – Realizing the spirit of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020) and NCFSE-2023, the new three-language policy (R1-R2-R3) being implemented by CBSE was enthusiastically welcomed at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Rambagh Basti. In the program organized in the school premises, teachers, parents and students described this policy as a historic step towards the all-round development of the students.
School Principal and City Coordinator CBSE Govind Singh said that the new language policy will provide students with balanced proficiency in mother tongue, Indian languages and world languages. He said, “In today’s time, multilingual education has become extremely necessary. This policy of CBSE will keep the students connected with the Indian culture and their roots and make them competent at the national and international level. Our school will implement this policy in a simple, student-friendly and activity-based manner.”
School Principal Ankit Kumar Gupta said that language is not just a subject of study, but a medium to understand thoughts and culture. He told that a plan is being made to teach the third language (R3) in the school in a communication-centric and interesting manner, so that children are not put to extra mental pressure and they can learn new languages easily.
On this occasion, the parent of the school, Rajendra, expressed his views and said, “The new language policy will prove to be extremely beneficial for the bright future of the children. When the children remain connected to their mother tongue and Indian languages, then the sense of values, culture and respect for the country will automatically develop in them.
Pradeep, as a parent, also said – “This initiative of CBSE will not only make the children linguistically strong, but will also play an important role in their self-confidence, communication skills and personality development. This policy will prove to be helpful in giving a new identity to the students at the national and global level in the coming times.” The school administration clarified that there will be no separate board exam for the third language (R3) and it will be evaluated at the school level itself. This will not increase unnecessary exam pressure on students and they will be able to enjoy the learning process.
