Big action on illegal land occupation in Bihar, new law will be implemented soon
Patna. Bihar government has started preparations to take big steps to protect government land and make land records transparent. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has made it clear that now strict action will be taken against illegal occupation and wrongful transfer of land. The process of bringing a new law for this is going on soon.
Security of government land is the biggest priority
According to the department, correct identification of government land and updating its records is the top priority of the government. Officials have said that under no circumstances will government land be allowed to be wrongly registered in the name of any private person. If any such case comes to light, strict action will be taken against the officers and employees involved in it.
Strict action will be taken against responsible officers
The government has also made it clear that if any officer or employee is found to be involved in wrong records or fraud related to land, then strict departmental and legal action will be taken against him. The purpose of this step is to fix accountability in the administrative system.
Review meeting of districts
The Revenue and Land Reforms Department reviewed the revenue works of Supaul, Rohtas and Patna districts through video conferencing. During this, instructions were given to dispose of the pending cases quickly. Officials of all the districts have been asked to complete the work within the stipulated time limit, so that the land record system can be improved.
More strict monitoring on corruption
A special monitoring cell has also been created under the Economic Offenses Unit to stop corruption in land matters. Under this system, many officers are being monitored. The government’s aim is to increase transparency in land related matters and immediate action should be taken against any kind of irregularity.
