Message of brotherhood and peace seen in draft on Bakrid
Masodhi:- The festival of Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Bakrid was celebrated with joy, brotherhood and peaceful atmosphere in Masodhi sub-division area on Thursday. There was a huge crowd of worshipers in mosques and Eidgahs since morning. People worshiped Allah and prayed for peace, prosperity and progress in the country and society.
Special Bakrid prayers were offered at the scheduled time in various mosques and Eidgahs of rural areas including Masodhi city. After the namaz, people hugged each other and congratulated each other on Bakrid. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among children and youth regarding the festival.
The Ulemas said in their address that Bakrid is the festival of renunciation, sacrifice and humanity. According to Islamic belief, Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam had prepared to sacrifice his son on the orders of Allah. Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated in the memory of his faith and sacrifice.
He said that the real purpose of sacrifice is to eliminate the evils, greed and ego within oneself and adopt the spirit of humanity, brotherhood and helping the needy.
The administration appeared to be completely alert to ensure that Bakrid festival is celebrated in a peaceful environment. Police force was deployed in various sensitive areas under the leadership of Masodhi police station incharge Vivek Bharti. Police patrolling operations were conducted at various places to prevent any untoward incident.
Arrangements for cleanliness and drinking water were also made by the City Council. There was a festive atmosphere throughout the day in Masaurhi and people gave the message of brotherhood by celebrating the festival with mutual harmony.
