Resignation from the post of Karnataka CM: Siddaramaiah rejects Rajya Sabha seat, tells Congress high command about further plans
Bangalore. After resigning as Karnataka Chief Minister, Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Thursday said senior party leaders had offered him a Rajya Sabha seat, but he politely declined it. He clearly said that he has no interest in national politics.
‘I will remain in state politics only’-
Siddaramaiah said that he will remain active in Karnataka politics in the future as there are still two years left in his MLA tenure. He made it clear that his fight against those who work against the Constitution will continue.
‘My life is like an open book’-
Describing his political career as transparent, the former Chief Minister said that he never tried to run after money or property. “My political life is like an open book,” he said.
Press conference after resignation-
After the announcement of resignation, DK Shivakumar, Home Minister G. In a press conference held with Parameshwara and other Congress MLAs, Siddaramaiah said that the party leadership and the legislature party will together decide on the new Chief Minister. He also alleged that the opposition has spread many false narratives against him.
