UP BJP changes five district presidents, preparations to strengthen the organization before 2027 elections

Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its preparations at the organizational level for the upcoming assembly elections 2027 in Uttar Pradesh. In this series, BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary has announced new district presidents in five districts of the state. The party has tried to give the message of social balance and organizational strength by handing over the responsibility to new faces in Ambedkar Nagar, Varanasi, Chandauli, Gorakhpur Mahanagar and Deoria.

These leaders got new responsibility

According to the list released by the state leadership, Dilip Dev Patel has been made the new district president of Ambedkar Nagar, Ram Sakal Patel of Varanasi, Kashinath Singh of Chandauli, Ramesh Prasad Gupta of Gorakhpur Metropolitan and Kali Prasad of Deoria. The party says that all the new district presidents have been active in the organization for a long time and have played an important role in strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

Attempt to solve caste equation

The new appointments of BJP are also being considered very important from the point of view of social equations. Of the five district heads announced, two come from Other Backward Class (OBC), one from Dalit, one from Vaishya and one from Kshatriya community. Political experts believe that BJP wants to strengthen its reach to every section by creating social balance before the 2027 assembly elections.

Caste equations have always played an important role in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, giving place to leaders of different communities in the organization is being considered a part of the election strategy by the party.

Dedicated workers got a chance

According to party sources, the new District President of Varanasi, Ram Sakal Patel has been actively associated with the organization for a long time. Kashinath Singh of Chandauli is also considered a dedicated worker of BJP and has been working for the party for years. By promoting such leaders, the organization has tried to give a message to the workers that hard work and dedication will be respected.

There were big changes earlier too

BJP has already announced 14 new district presidents in November 2025. Leaders of general class, backward class and scheduled caste were given representation in that list. The party had given a second chance to the old faces in many districts, while some controversial leaders were removed and new names were given the responsibility.

BJP engaged in election mission

The election atmosphere has slowly started developing in the state. In such a situation, BJP is focusing on strengthening the organization up to the booth level. The party leadership believes that strong organization is the biggest key to election victory. This is the reason why efforts are now being made to infuse new energy among the workers through new leadership in the districts.
