Many big and discussed decisions have been taken during the tenure of US President Donald Trump, but now preparations are on to release a new $250 note which will have Trump’s picture on it. If this proposal is passed, it will be the first time in more than 150 years in American history that the photo of a living person will be printed on the currency there.

According to US law, photographs of only those persons who have passed away can be placed on currency notes. There has been a ban on printing photographs of living persons since 1866.

This strict rule was made after the photograph of an official of the Treasury Department at that time was printed on the five cent note. Now, to break this tradition, the US Parliament i.e. Congress will have to pass a new law, due to which there has been an uproar in the politics of the country.

Joe Wilson presented the proposal

Nearly a month after Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day, Republican Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina introduced the ‘Donald Trump $250 Bill Act’ Have presented. This bill establishes the ‘Bureau of Printing and Engraving’ Instructs the U.S. to design and print a $250 legal tender bill bearing the President’s image.

According to reports, trump administration The officials of India have also put a lot of pressure on the printing office to design this note. When the director of the bureau declared this plan unrealistic, he was suddenly transferred, further deepening the controversy.

How will the design of the new note be?

The mock-up design of this proposed note has been prepared by an artist named Ian Alexander. The artist has confirmed that he spoke directly to President Trump about the project and that Trump himself shared his ideas for the changes to the note.

The design features Trump’s face at the center of the $250 note and includes the signatures of President Trump as well as Treasury Secretary Scott Besant. It has also been suggested to add the colors of the American flag and use a special logo to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding.

Honoring America’s 250th Anniversary

Supporters of the proposed law and Ministry of Finance Spokespeople argue that if the bill is enacted, it would be a historic way to honor America’s 250th anniversary. The Trump administration is preparing to celebrate 250 years of the country’s founding in a grand way from this July.
