Offer of Rs 10 crore and fee waiver, yet Farhan refused
New Delhi. These days, the ongoing dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar is constantly in the headlines in Bollywood. This matter, which started regarding the film ‘Don 3’, has now become one of the most talked about controversies in the industry. Meanwhile, a new report has come out in which it has been claimed that Ranveer Singh had given a big offer to Farhan Akhtar’s production company Excel Entertainment to resolve the matter, but Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani flatly refused to accept it.
According to reports, in the first week of March 2026, Ranveer Singh had proposed to give Rs 10 crore to Excel Entertainment. Not only this, he had also said that in case of working together in any other project in future, he would reduce his fees by up to 25 percent. It is being told that Ranveer wanted to end this dispute and improve relations, but Excel Entertainment had already taken its decision in this matter.
According to reports, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are very angry with the developments that have taken place in the last two years. Due to continuous delays in the shooting of the film, uncertainty in negotiations and sudden abandonment of the project, he had to suffer both financial and professional losses. This is why he rejected Ranveer Singh’s offer and decided not to work with him in future.
Actually the whole controversy is related to the film ‘Don 3’. In the year 2023, Farhan Akhtar released the teaser of the film launching Ranveer Singh as the new don. After Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, there was a huge discussion on social media about seeing Ranveer in this iconic character. Although some fans were not happy with this decision, Ranveer appealed to the audience to give him a chance.
After this suddenly news came that Ranveer Singh was out of the film. It was reported that he left the project just three weeks before shooting began. By that time the pre-production of the film had progressed a lot and due to this Excel Entertainment had to suffer huge losses.
FWICE i.e. Federation of Western India Cine Employees also intervened in this matter. The organization said that Farhan Akhtar had filed a complaint with them in April 2026. The complaint claimed that Ranveer Singh had signed a contract for three films with Excel Entertainment, but by leaving Don 3, the company suffered a loss of around Rs 45 crore. Farhan Akhtar has also demanded compensation for this loss.
During this entire controversy, no official statement has come out from Ranveer Singh’s side till now. Although his team had earlier said that the actor was deliberately maintaining silence. On the other hand, there were reports of Ranveer being banned in the industry, but later it was clarified that he has not been officially banned. Now it will be interesting to see in which direction this controversy goes and whether the relationship between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar will be normal again in future or not.
