Alert of heavy rain and storm in 16 states, warning of strong storm in Delhi-UP

People had become distressed due to the extreme heat and heat wave that had been going on for the past few days in many parts of the country. But now there is good news. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain, thunderstorm and storm in 16 states within the next 24 hours. After this rain, the temperature in these areas is expected to drop by 2 to 6 degrees Celsius. However, along with this relief, some precautions will also have to be taken because the danger of strong winds and storm also remains. According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed can reach 100 kilometers per hour. Therefore, people have been advised to be cautious while leaving the house. Besides, monsoon may also hit many states of the country in the next few days, due to which there is a possibility of more rain.

Alert issued in these 16 states

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Kerala and Karnataka. There is a danger of rain, thunder, lightning and strong storm at different levels in all these states.

Weather condition in Delhi

The weather is about to change in Delhi and NCR. Today, on May 29, an orange alert has been issued for strong storm, storm and rain. This situation may continue till May 31. Winds can blow at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of rain with thunderstorm on 30th and 31st May also. The sky will be cloudy on June 1 and 2, but after June 2, the heat may increase once again.

What will happen in Uttar Pradesh?

The weather patterns are changing in Uttar Pradesh also. Especially in many districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, there may be heavy rain accompanied by dusty storm. Wind speed can go up to 80 to 100 kilometers per hour. Winds with a speed of 70 to 90 kilometers per hour will also blow in the eastern parts. Heavy rain and hail may also occur at some places.

There is a danger of storm and heavy rain in Bihar on 29 and 30 May. There is a possibility of heavy rain in districts like Patna, West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Supaul, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Khagaria and Begusarai. The storm is expected to blow at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour in these areas.

Hope for relief in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, where it was very hot and the temperature was reaching 47 degrees, there is now an alert of rain and storm from 29 to 31 May. There will be intermittent rain in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions. Due to this the temperature may drop by about 2 degrees. Winds will blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour.

Uttarakhand weather

In Uttarakhand, there will be rain and thundershowers in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh on May 29 and 30. The wind will blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. Hail may also occur at some places. There may be snowfall in areas at altitude above 3800 meters on May 30. The temperature is likely to fall by 4 degrees in two days.

Stormy rain in Himachal Pradesh

There is an alert of stormy rain in Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Solan, Chamba, Sirmaur and Una districts of Himachal Pradesh. The speed of the storm can be up to 70 kilometers per hour. The day temperature in Manali will be around 11 degrees and the night temperature will be around 3 degrees Celsius.
