Foreign Minister Jaishankar discussed regional interests with Cyprus President!

He further said, “The recent state visit yielded good results, taking our partnership to the next phase. Assured the President of strong follow-up. The changing situation in West Asia/Middle East and India’s interest in the Mediterranean were also discussed.”
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar is currently on an official visit to Cyprus, where he participated in an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers and met his counterparts from different countries including the Netherlands, Poland, France, Ukraine, Estonia and Saudi Arabia.
Let us tell you that Christodoulides was on a visit to India from 20-23 May, which gave a great boost to the relations between the two countries. After their meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, PM Narendra Modi had announced that the two countries have agreed to upgrade their relations to a strategic partnership.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the talks between the two countries yielded several significant outcomes, including an agreement on the formation of a Joint Working Group (JWG) on Counter-Terrorism, cooperation between the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service and the Diplomatic Academy of Cyprus, as well as cooperation in higher education and research.
