Police arrested the wanted boy
New Delhi, (Language) A minor boy, wanted for allegedly setting fire to the motorcycle of a man after he refused to give him the motorcycle to buy liquor in Delhi, has been arrested. Police gave this information on Friday.
A senior police officer said, ”In Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area, the accused and his associates had asked the complainant Subedar for his motorcycle to buy liquor. The trio set fire to the complainant’s motorcycle to take revenge after he refused to hand over the vehicle.”
The officer said that the accused was constantly changing his locations to avoid arrest. Although, He was discovered during surveillance of criminals and anti-social elements active in the district. He said that while monitoring social media activities, the police noticed an account allegedly operated by a minor.
according to police, Photos depicting firearms on that account, Videos and content glorifying criminal activities were shared, Due to which an atmosphere of fear was being created among the local residents and youth. During the interrogation of the accused, the police came to know that he was allegedly using social media platforms to display weapons., Was doing it to promote criminal lifestyle and establish dominance in the area through posts and videos.
Investigation revealed that this minor first snatched, Beating, Theft, Allegedly involved in 5 criminal cases including arson and attempt to murder. Police said further action is underway to investigate the involvement of his associates in the case and his connection with other criminal activities.
