Heat wave wreaks havoc in Rajnandgaon, troubled by temperature of so many degrees, special heat wards made in hospitals…

Chhattisgarh:- People’s problems have increased due to the scorching heat and heat wave reaching 45 degrees in Rajnandgaon. The administration and health department are on alert due to increase in heat wave and dehydration patients. Special loo wards have been created in hospitals and people have been advised to take precautions.

The scorching heat and continuous heat wave in Rajnandgaon have increased the problems of the people. The temperature in the district is continuously reaching 44 to 45 degrees Celsius and it seems as if fire is raining from the sky. Normal life is being affected due to strong hot winds and scorching sun. The effect of increasing heat is also visible on people’s health and the number of heat stroke and dehydration patients is increasing.

In view of the situation, the district administration and health department are on alert mode. Guidelines have been issued by the administration to protect people from heatstroke and heat. The team of doctors is continuously advising people to take precautions and avoid the strong afternoon sun.

Special heat wards have been created in various health centers of the district including District Hospital, Medical College Hospital, where patients affected by heat are being treated. Arrangements for cold water, coolers and necessary health facilities have been made in hospitals for the patients.

District Collector Jitendra Yadav said that the administration has made all necessary arrangements for relief from the heat in the hospitals. He said that not only for the people but also for the animals, the veterinary department is making arrangements for water and shade, so that they can get relief from the scorching heat.

Whereas District Chief Health and Medical Officer Netaram Navratan appealed to the people and said that they should come out of the house only when absolutely necessary. Keep your head covered while going out in the sun and keep drinking as much water as possible, so that there is no shortage of water in the body. The health department has also advised people to immediately reach the hospital if they see symptoms of heat stroke.
