Netflix has officially confirmed that Ransom Canyon Season 2 will premiere globally on July 23, 2026. Production for the upcoming installment moved at an efficient pace. Principal photography officially commenced on September 17, 2025, primarily at Netflix Studios Albuquerque in New Mexico, and wrapped on January 14, 2026. For its second outing, Netflix has slightly streamlined the narrative pacing, reducing the season from its original 10-episode format to an intense 8-episode run.

Additionally, Ben Robson (Animal Kingdom) joins as Oliver, a big-city love interest for Quinn, while Heidi Engerman plays Sydney, a larger-than-life character revealed to be Yancy’s mysterious first wife.
Notably, Eoin Macken and Andrew Liner, who portrayed the father-son duo Davis and Reid Collins, will not be returning as series regulars for the second season.
Ransom Canyon Season 2 Plot Details
The narrative picks up after a six-month time jump following the turbulent events of the first finale. Quinn returns to Texas after her half-year stint as a concert pianist in New York City, forcing her and Staten to address their fractured bond after months of complete radio silence. Staten is simultaneously pushed to his limits as he fights to protect his legacy and reclaim his position at the helm of the Double K Ranch.
