Chandigarh: In the results of Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again performed brilliantly and registered a big victory. After this historic victory, an atmosphere of celebration was seen in the Punjab state office of Aam Aadmi Party. The election trends started coming in favor of AAP since morning, after which party leaders and workers started reaching the office in large numbers.
In celebration of the victory, workers danced vigorously to the beats of drums at the party headquarters. Along with this, the victory was celebrated by feeding each other laddus and congratulating each other. On the occasion of this victory celebration, AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and media in-charge Baltej Pannu were specially present. Apart from this, many senior party leaders, MLAs and officials also participated in this program.
Leaders expressed gratitude to the public
The senior leaders present during this time thanked the people of Punjab and said that this victory is the approval of the people on the public interest policies and development works of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in municipal corporations will also give further impetus to the development work of cities.

AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Punjab. He said that the people of Punjab have given a big message through these elections. He said, “I thank the people of Punjab for the results in favor of Aam Aadmi Party in these elections, who have given such great respect and blessings to Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.” Sisodia said that people have made it clear that they are liking the honest politics of Arvind Kejriwal and the working style of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the last four years.
After villages, support got in cities also
Manish Sisodia said that in the District Panchayat elections held some time ago, the people of the villages had given unilateral support to the Aam Aadmi Party. Now in the Municipal Corporation and Municipal Council elections, especially in urban areas, people have given a clear message that they like the public interest works of the government. He said that the public has approved the steps taken by the Mann government in the fields of electricity, water, employment, education and health.
Targeted at BJP
Sisodia said that these election results have given two clear messages. First, people have supported the development works of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Secondly, the public has also given a clear message to the so-called “ED Party” i.e. BJP. He said that the conscious voters of Punjab have made it clear that there is no place for vendetta politics and those who do politics with the help of agencies in the state. Sisodia claimed that the public rejected BJP in the elections to such an extent that the deposits of 1142 of its candidates were confiscated.
Also expressed confidence about 2027 elections
He further said that Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are working with full hard work and honesty to win the 2027 assembly elections with a historic majority. Although there is still time for the assembly elections, the new mayors and councilors who won the municipal corporation and city council elections will now work closely with the government at the grassroots level. He said that together everyone will accelerate the pace of development of Punjab and will once again hoist the flag of victory in 2027.
