Ghosts (US CBS version) Season 6 is happening. The sitcom starring Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as Samantha and Jay Arondekar — who turn a haunted mansion into a B&B while interacting with its quirky ghosts — was renewed alongside Season 5 in a two-season pickup announced in February 2025.
Ghosts Season 6 Current Status
- Season 5 is currently airing (or recently wrapped) in the 2025-2026 season.
- Season 6 is confirmed with a full 22-episode order and will premiere in midseason 2027 (likely early 2027, possibly January–March) on CBS, rather than the usual fall slot.
- To bridge the gap, CBS has scheduled two one-hour specials: a Halloween episode in fall 2026 and a “Ghostmas” (Christmas) special.

Overall, the fans of the show are thrilled by the news that Ghosts is being renewed for two more seasons; however, some fans are unhappy about having to wait until January to see the show start a new regular season:
Fans have expressed a lot of joy at being able to see this type of stability, saying things like “Two more years are guaranteed — The Ghosts are not leaving us!” They also appreciate the fact that the show will continue with holiday specials as “the perfect gift to us.”
The fans are also excited about seeing more ghostly antics, having more character development, and reaching major milestones (for example, the show’s potential 100th episode).
Although some people fabricated “cancellation” rumors earlier (which were disproven very quickly), the majority of fans are still very loyal and filled with joy.
The fans of the show appreciate that it has a consistent amount of charm, and they can’t wait to see how the storylines (like ghost lore and the relationship dynamic between the living and the ghosts) will evolve from there.
