New conspiracy of Lashkar, after Operation Sindoor, a new terrorist base is being built at this place; Intelligence report created a stir
Lashkar: Terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is preparing a new Markaz (terrorist center) in Abbottabad in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan. According to investigation of intelligence reports, this is the fifth major terrorist structure built or repaired by Lashkar since Operation Sindoor.
According to intelligence sources, this new Markaz is being built in the name of Abdul Rehman Makki, who is the brother-in-law of Lashkar Chief Hafiz Saeed and a senior leader of the Ban terrorist organization. Makki, born in Bahawalpur, Punjab province of Pakistan, has already been declared a terrorist by America and India. He is a member of JuD’s Markazi (central) team and Dawati (conversion) team.
Makki is the deputy ameer/chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba, also known as Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD), and heads the political affairs wing of JuD/LeT. He has served as the head of Lashkar’s foreign affairs department and a member of the Shura (governing body). Makki is considered one of the special strategists and leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who is responsible for expanding its radical network.
Expansion of terrorist infrastructure
According to intelligence reports, after Operation Sindoor, terrorist groups have expanded or created many new bases. There is news of a new expansion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on September 26, 2025. On 16 February 2026, news of increased activity in Kotli came to light. On March 12, 2026, news of a new structure was received in Mirpur. News of expansion in Rawalkot was received on March 13, 2026. Now, a new center has been built in Abbottabad. According to sources, after the destruction of LeT’s headquarters in Muridke in Punjab province during the Indian military action in May 2025, the organization has started shifting its base of operations. It is reported that the organization is now busy strengthening its training and radicalization network in the areas bordering KPK and Afghan border.
Fear of targeting orphan children
According to intelligence agencies, this new complex being built in Abbottabad is suspected to be used to recruit and radicalize orphan children and youth. Reports claim that terrorist organizations target youth with weak social and family security, making it difficult to hold them accountable if they are killed. Activities increased after Operation Sindoor
It is noteworthy that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025, in which 26 civilians were killed, India launched precision missile attacks on terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied areas under Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. In this operation of the Indian Army, nine major terrorist hideouts and training centers of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed were destroyed.
The alleged Lashkar headquarters in Muridke also suffered heavy damage, which was later publicly confirmed by senior commanders of the organization. Security agencies are keeping a close watch on these activities. It is believed that after Operation Sindoor, terrorist organizations are shifting their bases to new areas and expanding their terrorist bases.
