What can be the cases if deepfaked?

FIR can be registered against the culprits under the Information Technology (IT) Act, Indian Penal Code (IPC) and new laws. A case may be filed under the IT Act (IT Act, 2000). In this, there can be a jail term of 3 years and a fine of up to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, there can also be a case of defamation, in which the punishment can be up to 2 years in jail, fine or both.
