  • 6 boiled eggs
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder

Prepare special Kolhapuri masala

The real secret of Kolhapuri taste is hidden in its spices. For this you need:

  • 2 tbsp dry coconut
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 4 to 5 dry red chillies
  • 4 to 5 black peppers
  • 2 cloves
  • cinnamon stick

Lightly fry all these spices on low flame. After it cools down, add some water and prepare a fine paste.

Egg preparation

Make light cuts in the boiled eggs so that the flavor of the spices can penetrate inside. Now fry them in oil till they become light golden and keep them aside.

Heat oil in a pan and add onion and fry until golden. After this add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few minutes. Now add tomatoes and fry until soft.

After this, add turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder and prepared Kolhapuri masala and fry well for 4 to 5 minutes. When oil starts separating from the spices, add water and salt as required.
