Has CloverWorks announced Wind Breaker Season 3 yet? Here’s what we know so far
Satoru Nii’s explosive high school delinquent manga WIND BREAKER has taken the global anime community by storm, establishing itself as a flagship title for studio CloverWorks. Centered around Haruka Sakura and the protective delinquent group known as Bofurin, the series has earned massive critical acclaim for its breathtaking hand-to-hand choreography and compelling emotional core. Following the recent conclusion of its second season, fans are eager to see when the guard squad of Furin High School will return to action.
Wind Breaker Season 3 Updates
Studio CloverWorks has not yet officially greenlit WIND BREAKER Season 3. Given that the second season only recently completed its broadcast run from April to June 2025, the production committee is currently evaluating the overall commercial performance, merchandise metrics, and home video sales before making a formal announcement.
Because an anime series relies on pre-production planning and scheduling rather than traditional physical filming updates, the progression of the series rests entirely on production greenlights. Given CloverWorks’ packed slate and the typical production lifecycle for high-tier action anime, a potential third season would likely not land on broadcasting schedules until late 2026 or early 2027 at the earliest.
Wind Breaker Season 2 Voice Cast
Since a third installment has not been officially confirmed, the voice cast for Season 3 remains unannounced. However, the powerhouse Japanese and English voice cast from the recently concluded Season 2 brought the intense battles of the KEEL arc to life:
Yuma Uchida / Austin Tindle as Haruka Sakura
Shoya Chiba / Bryson Baugus as Akihiko Nirei
Koki Uchiyama / Orion Pitts as Kyotaro Sugishita
Nobunaga Shimazaki / Dallas Reid as Hayato Suo
Yuichi Nakamura / Aaron Campbell as Hajime Umemiya
Ryota Suzuki / Sean Letourneau as Toma Hiragi
Toshiyuki Toyonaga / Drew Breedlove as Mitsuki Kiryu
Ikumi Hasegawa / Hollis Beck as Kotoha Tachibana
Wind Breaker Season 2 Plot Details
The narrative of Season 2 raised the stakes significantly for the first-year students at Furin High. The story adapted the high-intensity KEEL Arc from Satoru Nii’s original manga, pitting Haruka Sakura and his classmates against a ruthless, predatory group of delinquents known as KEEL, who operate entirely on fear and violence.
Throughout the conflict, Sakura was forced to step up into his newly assigned role as Grade Captain, moving away from his solitary fighter mindset to lead his peers in defense of the town. The season focused heavily on the ideological clash between Bofurin’s protective philosophy and KEEL’s exploitative nature, forcing Sakura to build genuine bonds of trust with his classmates while learning what it truly means to stand at the top of a community.
