Kangana Ranaut unveils promotional video for Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, highlighting everyday heroes
Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has unveiled a powerful promotional video for her upcoming feature film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, shifting the spotlight toward the unsung, everyday citizens who keep the country moving. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the cinematic thriller is slated for a theatrical release on June 12, 2026.
In the video shared on her social media platforms, Ranaut delivers a gripping monologue that challenges the audience to envision a single day where the foundational layers of society vanish.
“Imagine for a day, nurses don’t show up at the hospital. Staff doesn’t come to school. Railway staff doesn’t arrive. Sanitation workers don’t clean the city,” Ranaut says, transitioning through symbolic backdrops of empty hospital corridors, busy railway stations, and littered streets.
The Power of the Common Man
The monologue culminates in a poignant critique of how society labels these critical pillars of functionality. Ranaut emphasizes that while the system collapses without them, they are dismissively categorized as the “Aam Aadmi” (common man).
“By doing something extraordinary, the ordinary becomes unique,” she asserts, concluding that these everyday workers are the true ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ (the architects of India’s destiny).
Based on True Events: The Heroes of Cama Hospital
The film moves away from loud, conventional cinematic heroism to tell a deeply human story of quiet courage. Based on true events, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is set inside Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital during the horrific 26/11 terrorist attacks of 2008.
The plot chronicles the real-life grit of ordinary hospital workers—including nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, and security personnel—who stood between heavily armed terrorists and 400 defenseless patients. Ranaut reportedly plays a bruised but resilient nurse caught in the center of the conflict.

The high-stakes drama boasts a powerhouse supporting ensemble, including Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, and Priya Berde.
With its release locked for June 12, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is gearing up to be a tense, emotionally grounded tribute to the quiet sacrifices that held Mumbai together during one of its darkest nights.
