Vinesh Phogat reached Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, WFI accepted entry in 53kg category of Asian Games Trials.

Vinesh Phogat Asian Games Trials : The Supreme Court on Friday allowed wrestler Vinesh Phogat to participate in the selection trials for the Asian Games 2026 to be held on May 30. After which Vinesh Phogat reached IGI Stadium on Saturday. WFI has accepted Vinesh Phogat’s entry in the women’s 53kg category for the Asian Games trials.

After completing her weigh-in in the 53 kg category ahead of the 2026 Asian Games selection trials at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Vinesh Phogat, after a brief stretch, now warmed up on the mat. Selection trials for the Asian Games 2026 are to be held today and tomorrow. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Sanjay Singh is present during the Asian Games trials of wrestler Vinesh Phogat at the IG Stadium.

As per the directions of the Delhi High Court, Aditi Chauhan of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and M.M. Somaiya is present as observers during wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s trials at the Indira Gandhi Stadium.

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court upheld the decision of Delhi High Court allowing Vinesh Phogat to participate in the selection trials of Asian Games 2026. Keeping in mind the achievements of Vinesh Phogat, the High Court said that she has brought glory to the country.
