Apart from cancer, tobacco increases the risk of these serious diseases
New Delhi. Today, on 31 May, World No Tobacco Day is celebrated across the world. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware about the deadly diseases caused by tobacco. According to the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) 2009-10, about 35 percent of Indians use tobacco in some form or the other. Of these, 47 percent are men and 20.2 percent are women. Harm to health due to tobacco-
Doctors believe that tobacco causes teeth to become weak and fall prematurely. Its consumption causes diseases related to teeth and mouth. Apart from this, it also reduces eyesight. Tobacco is also very dangerous for the lungs.
Nicotine in tobacco also increases blood pressure. When you smoke, its smoke affects the entire respiratory system. It affects the eyes, ears and lungs. It is directly related to the mouth, hence consuming too much tobacco increases the chances of getting mouth cancer.

Most people who consume tobacco are unable to open their mouth completely. White lines on both sides inside the mouth are a sign of cancer. If it is not taken care of in time then it can be dangerous.
By consuming tobacco, a person gets addicted to nicotine and it also affects the brain. A person who consumes tobacco feels that by consuming it he is getting a kind of mental peace and he becomes addicted to it. When such people do not get tobacco, they become restless and upset.
According to a report, the abortion rate among women who consume tobacco is about 15 percent higher than that of normal women. Due to tobacco consumption, lung cancer, heart attack, respiratory diseases, reproductive disorders, pneumonia and menstrual problems are more common in women.
