Big decision of Central Government, 1 new good news for lakhs of people

New Delhi. The Central Government has taken an important step for the convenience of the common people. If a person’s bank account, insurance claim, shares, mutual funds or other financial assets have been lying unclaimed for years, it is now easier than ever to get information about it.

Let us tell you that the Department of Financial Services of the Finance Ministry has started a new online website portal for this, through which people will be able to trace their forgotten financial assets from one place.

Complete information will be available on one platform

It is often seen that information about people’s bank accounts, insurance policies, shares or deposits in mutual funds gets lost over time. Many times, due to the death of the account holder, change in address or lack of documents, even family members are not able to access these assets. The aim of the new system is to reconnect such people with their legitimate property.

Which properties will be searched?

Under this facility, people will be able to get information about financial assets like bank deposits, insurance claims, amount related to shares, dividends and mutual fund investments. The government believes that this will help in returning the amount worth crores of rupees, which has been lying unclaimed for a long time, to its rightful owners.

The process will be easy and transparent

According to the Financial Services Department, the new system has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens. It aims to make searching for financial assets simpler, faster and transparent. Getting information through online medium will save people’s time and also increase transparency in the process.

Part of ‘Your Capital, Your Rights’ campaign

This initiative has been started under the ‘Your Capital, Your Rights’ campaign of the Central Government. The objective of this campaign is to make people aware about their financial assets and to ensure that the unclaimed amount reaches its rightful owner.
