IPL 2026 Final: Today Bengaluru vs Gujarat, both teams have a chance to win the second title.

Tezzbuzz Desk- The final match of IPL 2026 will be played today between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This high-voltage match will start at 7:30 pm, where both the teams will take the field with the intention of winning the IPL trophy for the second time.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first title last season, while Gujarat Titans created history by becoming champions in their debut season in 2022. Now both the teams are once again close to capturing the trophy.

Statistically speaking, the teams that won Qualifier-1 have a very strong record in the IPL finals. In the last 8 seasons, only the team that won Qualifier-1 has become the champion. Apart from this, after 2016, almost all the final matches have also taken place between the teams playing Qualifier-1. An exception was seen in 2016, when Hyderabad progressed from the eliminator and won the title.

The score of 200 or more runs has never been chased in the final matches of IPL history. In the last 18 years, 200+ scores have been made in the final four times, but every time the team batting first has won. This figure further increases the importance of the toss in today’s match.

The last match between the two teams was played in Qualifier-1, in which Bengaluru performed brilliantly and defeated Gujarat by 92 runs. Earlier, both the teams had won one match each in the league stage.

30 April- Gujarat won by 4 wickets on its home ground.

24 April- Bengaluru won by 5 wickets on its home ground.

Overall, there have been 9 matches between the two teams in IPL history so far, out of which Bengaluru has won 5 and Gujarat has won 4.
