Preparations intensified for Prime Minister’s visit to Surat, development projects will be inaugurated and foundation stone laid

Surat. Preparations have been intensified for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Surat on June 5. An important meeting was organized at Surat District Collector Office on Sunday to review the successful organization and arrangements of the program.

The meeting was presided over by Union Jal Shakti Minister and Navsari MP CR Patil and Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi. Public representatives, district administration officials and senior officials of the police department participated in the meeting.

To make the Prime Minister’s visit smooth and successful, various arrangements including security arrangements, traffic management, parking, movement of beneficiaries and invited guests were discussed in detail.

Both the leaders gave necessary guidelines to the officials and directed them to complete all the preparations in a timely manner and as per the protocol. During the meeting, District Collector Tejas Parmar also gave a detailed presentation regarding the Prime Minister’s proposed program.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Collector Parmar said that Prime Minister Modi’s program will be organized in two phases. In the first phase, the Prime Minister will visit the L&T plant located in Hazira.

After this, in the second phase he will address a huge public meeting at the Indoor Stadium in Surat. He said that on this occasion, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development works worth about Rs 18 thousand crore related to various departments.

Health Minister Prafullabhai Panseria, MP Mukeshbhai Dalal, Mayor Mayaben Mavani, MLA Mukeshbhai Patel, Purnesh Modi, Sandeep Desai, Ishwarbhai Parmar, Manubhai Patel, Praveenbhai Ghoghari, Mohanbhai Dhodia, Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot, Municipal Corporation Commissioner M. Nagarajan, District Development Officer and many senior officers and officials of the administration and police department were present in the meeting.
