Tezzbuzz Desk- The Gujarat Titans (GT) team, which was suffering the pain of defeat in the final of IPL 2026, narrowly escaped becoming a victim of a major accident. According to reports, while returning from the stadium to the team hotel after the match, the bus carrying the players and support staff suddenly developed a technical fault.
According to PTI, the vehicle broke down midway due to a short circuit in the bus. During this period, there was a situation like smoke rising in the bus, due to which there was an atmosphere of chaos for some time. However, all the players and staff were evacuated safely in time.
After the incident, all the players and support staff of Gujarat Titans waited for some time on the roadside. Later the team management arranged for an alternative bus, through which everyone was safely taken to the hotel.
The fortunate thing is that no player or staff member was injured in this entire incident. Due to the promptness of the security personnel, the situation was immediately brought under control.
The incident came to light at a time when Gujarat Titans had already lost the IPL 2026 final against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 5 wickets. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, batting first, scored 155 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. The team’s batting completely faltered in this important match, where except Washington Sundar, no batsman could make a major contribution.
While chasing the target, Royal Challengers Bangalore also had a slow start, but Virat Kohli managed one end and took the team to victory. Kohli played a brilliant inning of 75 not out, which included 9 fours and 3 sixes. Thanks to his innings, RCB achieved the target and won the IPL title for the second consecutive time.
