Due to El Nino, rain is in danger! Know whether India will also be affected? read the news

An invisible challenge rising from the depths of the Pacific Ocean is now ready to change the weather patterns of the entire world and wreak havoc on India. In fact, this is not an ordinary seasonal change, but a natural phenomenon called ‘El Nino’, the mere sound of which deepens the fear of floods, droughts and severe heatwaves.

What is El Nino?

In fact, the periodic warming of the sea surface in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean is called El Nino. This heat is so intense that even a minor disturbance in the rain system engulfs the entire world. Meteorologists of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have predicted the Atlantic storm to be calmer than normal this time, due to which El Nino is being said to be behind it. According to experts, there is a 55 percent chance of less than normal storm activity, while the chance of more than normal activity is only 10 percent.

Will the effect of El Nino be visible this time?

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from early June to November 30, with hurricane activity peaking in mid-September. But due to El Nino, this time the strength of storms in the Atlantic may be less. However, this weather phenomenon originating in the Pacific Ocean increases the intensity of floods, droughts and heat waves in many parts of the world. During its active phase, it also increases the global average temperature unexpectedly, causing havoc everywhere.

What is ‘La Nina’?

In fact, El Nino events usually occur once every 2 to 7 years and their effects last for 9 to 12 months. The opposite is ‘La Nina’, which means cooler than normal temperatures in the Pacific Ocean. During El Nino, the winds weaken or change direction, causing the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean to flow back east toward the coasts of the Americas. This reduces the activity of Atlantic hurricanes, while increasing the activity of hurricanes in the Pacific Ocean. This game of relief on one side and disaster on the other side is a strange miracle of nature.

Even though El Nino originates in the Pacific Ocean, its impact is no less than an earthquake across the world. Areas such as India, Australia, southern and central Africa, and the Amazon Basin will face extreme heat and wildfires. Heavy rains and floods can wreak havoc in some parts of America, especially the southern part, while North America may also experience unbearable heat.

El Nino will have a direct and dire impact on India. The country will have to face prolonged heat waves. There is a strong possibility of less than normal rainfall during the monsoon season, due to which farmers will have to bear the direct consequences. Crop production will reduce and this will directly impact our plates when prices of food items will start skyrocketing. Temperatures are already rising in India due to climate change and the arrival of El Nino will add fuel to this fire. In such a situation, in the coming months we will have to work hard to deal with this cruel cycle of nature, otherwise we may have to face the consequences.
