Ashwin reveals the secret of RCB’s dominance in IPL 2026, gives credit to these 5 people for winning the title

Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) created history by winning the IPL 2026 title. They have now become only the third team to win two consecutive trophies. Players like Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have played an important role in the team winning the title. But former cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has also given credit for the victory to those people who have made the team successful by working behind the scenes.

Ashwin gave credit for RCB’s victory to these five people

Ashwin says that the way RCB is playing, it will not be a surprise if they win the title for the third consecutive time. While talking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, RCB can win the IPL title for the third consecutive time. Gujarat Titans can also be proud of their performance, but I want to give credit to five people for this brilliant run chase – Andy Flower, Mo Bobat, Dinesh Karthik and his support staff, Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli.”

Ashwin further praised Kohli, saying, “The way Virat Kohli held himself back a bit, he stood back in the team and let Rajat Patidar lead, and played the role of mentor and elder brother to the team. He did this despite being the ‘Ultimate Alpha’. Royal Challengers Bangalore has been like a heartbeat for Virat Kohli. He did not get a single trophy for 17 or 18 years. This team and the IPL have given us a huge Taught the lesson that no matter how hard you work, you can’t win in the 18th year. Then in the 19th year, they became the defending champions. In every team he picks a reliable defensive bowling option, a quality wrist spinner and a good variety of fast bowlers, some who swing the ball and some who bowl fast. His approach has always been the same. Ashwin further said, “Mo Bobat, along with the backroom staff, has created a team in which Dinesh Karthik brings local experience.
