According to the latest IMD bulletin, isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Tamil Nadu and Karnataka over the next 6–7 days.

Furthermore, according to the IMD, severe thunderstorms accompanied by squally winds are likely across many parts of Northwest, Central, and Eastern India this week. The Meteorological Department predicts that after June 8, the weather is likely to clear up in many areas, and temperatures may begin to rise once again.

Along with this, incidents of strong winds and lightning strikes have also been recorded. The Meteorological Department has advised against traveling between June 3 and June 5, as the risk of landslides and adverse weather conditions may persist.

Weather in North-Western India

– According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall is likely in Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand between June 3 and June 6.
– The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for Himachal Pradesh regarding thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds expected between June 3 and June 5.
– Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Western Uttar Pradesh are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, between June 2 and June 6.
– In Eastern Rajasthan, thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds (speed reaching up to 50–60 kmph, with gusts up to 70 kmph) are likely between June 2 and June 4.
– Western Rajasthan is likely to witness dust storms in isolated places on June 3.

Rainfall Warning for These States

Alerts for light to moderate rainfall have been issued for several parts of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Alerts regarding lightning strikes and strong winds have also been issued for certain locations. This year, June has begun with some relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, conditions involving rain, storms, and lightning strikes may persist throughout this week.

Weather in Punjab and Haryana

According to the Meteorological Department, dust storms and rainfall are also anticipated in Punjab and Haryana. The rain is expected to provide significant relief to the public from the heat.
In several districts of Rajasthan, winds at speeds of 70-80 kmph are anticipated. In Haryana and Punjab, the likelihood of rain and storms has been forecast for the period between June 1 and June 5.

Weather in Uttarakhand

Rainfall is anticipated in Uttarakhand on June 5 and June 6. As for Bihar, rain is likely in most districts on June 3 and June 4.
