Political turmoil in Bengal: Mamta Banerjee, sitting on strike, said – BJP rigged 177 seats, police is stopping the workers…

Kolkata. The political conflict has intensified after the change of power in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has launched a statewide agitation to protest against election rigging, alleged attacks on party workers and police action. In this sequence, on Tuesday, TMC chief and former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee opened a front against the BJP government by staging a protest in Kolkata.

Mamata Banerjee alleged that during the counting of assembly elections, rigging was done on 177 out of 294 seats. He said that despite the police not giving permission, their protest will continue in a democratic manner and any attempt to suppress the voice of the public will not be allowed to succeed.

“I will not leave the workers”-
Addressing the protest, Mamata Banerjee said that she will stand with her workers in difficult times. He alleged that TMC workers are being threatened, many are being detained and prevented from joining the protest.

The former Chief Minister said that his government has always worked with a humanitarian approach and it has never been its policy to remove hawkers without rehabilitation.

Kalyan Banerjee targeted the police administration-
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee also made serious allegations against the BJP government and the police administration during the protest. He said that more big protests will be held in the coming days. He appealed to the police officers to work impartially in accordance with the Constitution and law.

Kalyan Banerjee claimed that the administration was informed about the strike on June 2 on May 29 itself, but permission was not given till the last moment, due to which the preparations for the program were affected. He called it a deliberate delay by the administration.

Allegations of attacks on workers-
TMC leaders alleged that incidents of violence against party workers and supporters have increased after the change of power. The party claims that many workers have been attacked and thousands of supporters have been forced to leave their homes.

Dissatisfaction regarding Sonarpur incident also-
TMC is also angry over the alleged assault in Sonarpur and the attacks on party leaders. Party leaders say that after the formation of the BJP government, opposition leaders are being targeted.

Mamta arrived with a copy of the Constitution-
Before the dharna, Mamata Banerjee along with party leaders paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. During this, she arrived with a copy of the Constitution in her hand and reiterated her resolve to protect democratic values.

Amidst this ongoing political conflict in West Bengal, the round of allegations and counter-allegations between TMC and BJP is continuously increasing, due to which a new boil is being seen in the politics of the state.
