Administration’s big action on rapper Badshah’s club, ‘Sago’ sealed in Chandigarh, know the whole matter

Badshah Sago Club Sealed: Famous rapper and singer Badshah is once again in the headlines, but this time the reason is not because of any new song or music project of his but because of his club. In fact, the administration has taken major action and sealed Badshah’s famous nightclub ‘Sago by Badshah’ in Sector-26, Chandigarh. According to officials, notices were issued to club operators several times. When those deficiencies were not rectified within the stipulated time, the administration decided on sealing. After this action, the hustle and bustle in the nightlife circuit of Chandigarh has intensified.

Why was Badshah’s club sealed?

According to the Chandigarh administration, several serious violations of various rules were found in the building of ‘Sago by Badshah’. According to the information, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav said that the process of action against the club was going on for a long time. During the investigation, officials found many illegal constructions on the basement, ground floor and second floor. Apart from this, rules like covering the steel structure and fiber sheet, changing the layout, making a tin shed and changing the structure of the rear part of the building were violated. The administration says that all this was done illegally.

Did not follow the rules despite many notices

According to officials, a show cause notice was issued to the club owner for the first time on April 25, 2024. After investigation, he was clearly told that many illegal changes had been made in the complex. The administration had asked the club management to remove these deficiencies or construct them as per the rules. But he did not take necessary steps within the time limit. For this reason, action was initiated under Rule 14 and Rule 10 of Chandigarh Estate Rules 2007 and Section 8A of Punjab Development and Regulation Act 1952.

‘Sago’ has been in controversies before too

Let us tell you that this is not the first time that this club of Badshah has come into discussion. Even in the year 2024, this nightclub was in the news for a major security lapse. At that time, there were bomb blasts outside two clubs associated with Badshah. In the CCTV footage, a person was allegedly seen throwing a crude bomb and later absconding from the spot. In this case, Delhi Police had arrested Deepak, a resident of Faridkot, Punjab. The investigating agencies had claimed that the accused gangster was associated with the Goldie Brar gang.

Chandigarh administration has made it clear that the rules related to security and building construction apply equally to everyone. Illegal construction and encroachment are being continuously investigated in the city. Sector-26 is known as the major nightlife hub of Chandigarh and many clubs and restaurants located here have been under the surveillance of the administration in recent months. The administration has indicated that if such a case is found then strict action can be taken against them also.
