Telangana is moving forward with the sacrifice of martyrs: Minister Ponguleti
Speaking at the Telangana Foundation Day celebrations, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the state built on the sacrifices of martyrs is progressing rapidly in the field of development and welfare. Honoring of martyr families, distribution of police medals and cultural presentations were organized in the programme.
Hanamkonda: Speaking at a grand function organized at Hanamkonda on the occasion of Telangana State Foundation Day, State Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that Telangana, which came into existence due to the sacrifice of thousands of agitators and martyrs, is today emerging as an inspirational model for the country in the field of development and public welfare. He said that the state government is continuously working for inclusive development, social justice and improving the standard of living of the citizens.
At the State Foundation Day function held at the Police Parade Ground, the Minister hoisted the national flag, inspected the honor guard and while addressing the gathering, paid tribute to the martyrs of the Telangana movement. Public representatives, administrative officials, students and a large number of citizens participated in the program.
Told the sacrifice of martyrs as the biggest strength of Telangana
In his address, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the formation of Telangana state was not just an administrative change but was the result of a long struggle, mass movement and countless sacrifices. He said that the contribution of those who sacrificed their lives for the building of the state will always be recorded in golden letters in history.
Honoring the martyr families, the Minister said that their sacrifices have paved a new path of development and self-respect for the coming generations. He said that the state government is fully committed to the honor and welfare of the martyr families.
Said development and public welfare to be the priority of the government
During the function, the Minister mentioned various development schemes and welfare programs of the State Government and said that the aim of the Government is to extend the benefits of development to every section of the society. He said that comprehensive reforms are being carried out in sectors like education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and employment.
According to him, the government is paying special attention to such programs which directly impact the lives of common citizens. Many schemes are also being implemented to maintain the balance of development between rural and urban areas.
Ponguleti said that the general public is at the center of government policies and the aim of every scheme is to fulfill the aspirations of the citizens and improve their standard of living.
Achievements of Hanamkonda and Warangal region also discussed
In his address, the Revenue Minister also mentioned the ongoing development projects in Hanamkonda and Warangal region. He said that several important projects are being taken forward to strengthen the infrastructure in the region, expand urban amenities and attract investments.
He said that it is the effort of the government that every district of the state should move forward equally in the race of development. For this, priority is being given to schemes according to local needs.
Tribute paid at martyr memorial
Before the ceremony, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya, MLC Basavaraju Saraiya, MLA Naini Rajendra Reddy and other public representatives reached the Telangana Martyrs Memorial in the city and paid floral tributes.
During this, the leaders remembered all the known and unknown agitators who contributed to the statehood movement. He said that the history of Telangana is a symbol of struggle, self-respect and efforts made for democratic rights.
Police personnel and students honored
During the State Foundation Day celebrations, people who made outstanding contributions in various fields were also honoured. The Minister presented Telangana Police Service Medals to police personnel who have rendered outstanding services.
Apart from this, students who performed well in cultural programs were honored with certificates. Officials say that such honors inspire the youth to contribute to the development of the society and the state.
Cultural programs enhanced the grandeur of the ceremony
Students and artists gave colorful cultural presentations during the function. The rich heritage and cultural identity of Telangana was presented through folk dance, music and traditional cultural programmes.
These presentations were appreciated with enthusiasm by the people present. The program reflected the folk traditions, history and cultural diversity of Telangana, which made the function more attractive.
