Traffic Challan New Rules: Now the excuse of ‘no message’ will not work when challan is issued, government notice will come directly on WhatsApp
Hyderabad: Telangana government has taken a very big and drastic step to make the traffic challan system completely hi-tech and transparent. Now, heavy challans issued to motorists in the state for breaking traffic rules will be sent directly to their mobile phones through SMS, email and WhatsApp. This simply means that as soon as your vehicle breaks any traffic rule, its complete information will be immediately flashed on your smartphone or email ID and you will not be able to remain unaware even if you want to.
Digital message will be considered as definitive legal notice
Under this new and modern system launched by the government, every e-challan issued by the traffic police will be considered completely official and legally valid. This means that if a person has received any message of challan on his phone, it will be considered as a legal notice sent by the court or department, whether it is a simple SMS, WhatsApp message or an email. The government has clarified that people often make the excuse that they did not get any information about the challan being deducted, due to which they delay in paying the fine for years. Now, to end this excuse forever, digital notification is being made legally very strong and mandatory.
Vehicle owners will have to do this important work immediately
To take advantage of this new and strict system and avoid any legal complications, vehicle owners will have to do one very important thing immediately. All vehicle drivers must keep their mobile number and email ID absolutely correct and always updated. Actually, all this important information of yours is directly linked to the Government Vehicle Registration System (VAHAN). If a person has not updated his new number in this system, then he will not be able to get the information about challan deduction on time. That is why the government has strongly advised all vehicle owners to update their contact details immediately without any delay so that any major problem or court action can be avoided in future.
Rules will be strictly followed, fine will be deposited on time
Another main objective of implementing this big decision is to further strengthen the adherence to traffic rules among the people. Many times, drivers are very negligent in paying the fine due to not getting accurate information about the challan on time, due to which the penalty imposed on them increases further or the matter directly reaches the court. Now with the advent of this new digital system, as soon as the challan is issued, its information will be available immediately and people will be able to easily pay their fine on time sitting at home without any delay.
Attention Be cautious of cyber fraudsters sending fake messages
Along with launching this wonderful digital facility, the government and the police department have also issued a very important warning to the general public. In the recent past, many cases of cheating people by sending messages and links of fake traffic challans have come to light across the country. Vicious cyber criminals send links of fake challan to people’s phones and as soon as someone clicks on it, they steal their money and confidential bank details. Therefore, the police has made it completely clear that do not blindly click on any unknown link on your phone. Check the challan thoroughly before paying it and use only the official government portal or recognized government app to deposit the fine.
