DK Shivakumar took oath as the new Chief Minister of Karnak on Wednesday. Along with him Dr. G. Parameshwara took oath as Deputy CM. DK Shivakumar also held a copy of the Constitution in his hand during his swearing-in. Before his swearing-in, DK Shivakumar also greeted former CM Siddaramaiah.
Apart from the CM and Deputy CM, a total of 12 MLAs took oath as ministers. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank Kharge and former CM Siddaramaiah’s son Yatindra Siddaramaiah have also got a place in the cabinet.

Senior Congress leader G. Parmeshwar D.K. here on Wednesday. Took oath as minister in Shivkumar’s cabinet. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office and secrecy to the CM, Deputy CM and all the ministers at Lok Bhawan. Deputy CM Parameshwara took oath in the name of Dr. BR Ambedkar. Religious leaders of all major communities and heads of various monasteries were also invited to the swearing-in ceremony.
Ji Parmeshwar has been Deputy CM before too.
Yes, God belongs to the Scheduled Caste. He was the Home Minister in the Siddaramaiah government. Before this, he had been Deputy CM in HD Kumaraswamy’s government from 2018 to 2019. He has also been the Karnataka Congress State President for eight consecutive years from 2010 to 2018.

Who came to the oath taking ceremony?
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, former CM Siddaramaiah, Congress General Secretaries KC Venugopal and Randeep Singh Surjewala, Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states and several other top party leaders.
