HIV cases in Madhya Pradesh are worrying, said Kamal Nath today!
Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath has expressed concern over pregnant women and newborn babies being found infected with HIV. In a statement given by former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, it has been said that the birth of more than 200 HIV positive children in Madhya Pradesh in the last 5 years is a matter of utmost concern. Not only this, in the year 2025-26, 743 pregnant women were found HIV positive.
Describing HIV-affected women and newborn babies as serious, Kamal Nath said that despite this serious condition, pregnant women are neither being examined properly nor are proper medicines being provided to everyone. In the case of HIV infection, such serious negligence cannot be tolerated in any way.
Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath has said that the BJP government should take special steps on this serious disease.
In fact, a report has come out in which it has been said that the number of HIV positive pregnant women in the state has increased by 45 percent in the last 5 years. Along with this, in the last 5 years, 201 such newborns were born who were infected with HIV and their mothers were also affected by it. These days, health services have become a political issue in the state.
Congress alleges that the health services of the state are in a complete disarray as a result of which the common man is not able to get health facilities as per his need.
