LG’s high level meeting ends in Delhi Malviya Nagar fire incident, important instructions given along with review

21 people have died in a fire in a hotel in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. There are also 17 foreign nationals among them. Most of the dead are from Bangladesh and African countries. 40 people have been rescued. In the last 6 months, 66 people have died due to fire in Delhi in different incidents. According to local people, the fire broke out in the restaurant of this hotel located in Malviya Nagar at 8.50 in the morning. The fire broke out in the B-N-B restaurant built on the ground floor of a 6-storey building. The high-level meeting of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) has ended. Reviewing the situation, many orders and suggestions have been given.

Chief Fire Officer Abhilash Malik has said that there was no fire NOC of the building. The fire team evacuated 37 people from here. The hotel has 25 rooms.

The high-level meeting of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) regarding the Malviya Nagar fire has ended. While reviewing the situation in the meeting, many orders and suggestions have been given. While seriously discussing the relief and rescue work, talks have also been held especially on the progress of the works.

Delhi Police Commissioner was also present in the meeting, who has now left the meeting. The administration has expedited the process of investigating the cause of the fire and providing assistance to the affected people. The violation of safety standards, the causes of the fire and the latest status of the investigation so far were discussed in detail in the meeting.

Let us tell you that after the massive fire in Malviya Nagar, the Lieutenant Governor had called a high-level emergency meeting at 5 pm. Chief Secretary, senior officers of the fire department and local DC Shamil were also informed to attend the meeting.
