Big news for teachers of Bihar! New transfer policy will be implemented soon

Patna. An important change may soon be seen for lakhs of teachers of Bihar. The state government is preparing to implement a new transfer policy to make the education system more balanced and effective. The aim of this initiative is to facilitate teachers and improve the availability of teachers in schools.

The online application process can be started after the proposal prepared by the Education Department gets the approval of the government. A digital system is being developed for this, so that the application and selection process remains transparent and simple. The aim of the department is to execute the transfers within the prescribed time limit.

mass transfer

After the implementation of the new system, teachers, head teachers, headmasters and librarians from across the state will be able to take part in the transfer process. Teachers who have been waiting for posting near their home area for a long time are expected to get relief from this. The government’s effort is to provide teachers with the opportunity to work as close to their place of residence as possible, thereby reducing both their personal and professional challenges.

Transfer will be voluntary

The most important thing about the new policy is that transfer will not be mandatory. Only those teachers who want to change their current posting will apply. Teachers who want to continue working in their existing school will not have to face any kind of compulsion. This step is being considered as a decision giving priority to the choice and convenience of teachers.

Adjustment will be done based on subject wise needs

The new transfer policy will not be limited to just transfer, but will also focus on balanced distribution of teachers in schools. Teachers from schools where teachers of any subject are more than required will be sent to those schools where there is shortage of teachers of the concerned subject. With this, education in all subjects will be better available to the students and the educational quality is likely to improve.

Experiences of other states were also used

Before formulating the new policy, the transfer systems of different states have been studied. The Department of Education has analyzed models where the teacher transfer system is considered successful. On the basis of that experience, a balanced and practical system has been prepared for Bihar.

Librarian and other officials will also be involved

This time not only teachers, but also head teachers, principals and librarians will be part of the transfer process. With this, employees working at different levels of the education department will also get the opportunity to transfer as per their choice and requirement.
