Rajya Sabha elections: Tarun Chugh from MP, Alka Gurjar from Rajasthan, BJP releases list of 11 candidates

New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced the names of 11 candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections from various states. Party’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh has been made the candidate from Madhya Pradesh. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh said here today that the Central Election Committee of the party has given its consent to the names of the party candidates for the biennial elections of Rajya Sabha from Arunachal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Rajasthan and the by-election of Rajya Sabha from Odisha. He informed that the party has made Shri Tai Tagak its candidate from Arunachal.

Whereas, Rajubhai Shukla, Mukesh Rathwa, Mansingh Parmar and Jitendra Meghjibhai will be the candidates of Kanjariya Party from Gujarat. Along with this, the party nominated Tarun Chugh and Satish Aggarwal from Madhya Pradesh, A. Shardi Devi has been made candidate from Manipur and Dr. Alka Gurjar and Dr. Satish Poonia from Rajasthan. Arun Singh said that Mr. Debashish Samantrai has been made the party’s candidate for the by-election to be held for a seat from Odisha.
