Cyber ​​Crime Awareness : CoinDCX’s initiative against online fraud; Launch of awareness campaign ‘Be alert’

MUMBAI: CoinDCX, India’s largest crypto exchange, today announced a social first cyber security awareness campaign called ‘Satark Rahe’. The launch of this initiative is linked to the national campaign ‘Cyber ​​Awareness Day’, which is celebrated on the first Wednesday of every month, an initiative of 14C and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The campaign ‘Satark Rahe’ is an extension of CoinDCX’s Rs 100 crore initiative Digital Security Network (DSN), which aims to protect citizens from digital financial fraud and strengthen cyber security awareness across the country.

The ‘Be Alert’ campaign aims to make people aware of common digital frauds and help them respond appropriately. The concept is built around the character of ‘Satark’ and tries to make cheating education easier, relatable and emotionally impactful by using everyday situations and an interactive format on social media.

Nishant Kumar, Director, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (14C), Ministry of Home Affairs said, “Cybercriminals constantly target innocent people using new and sophisticated methods. Over the years, 14C has launched several awareness campaigns, including social media handle Cyber Dost and other national campaigns. These efforts aim to promote cyber hygiene among citizens and spread safe digital practices. It is only through joint efforts of government, industry and civil society that a cyber-aware nation can be built.” Initiatives like ‘Be Alert’ can play an important role in delivering cyber security messages to a wider audience in a simple and engaging format.”
