Mass plantation at Bamhanwa Center on World Environment Day

Reusa, Bamanava – On the occasion of World Environment Day, a mass plantation program was organized at Bamhanawa Health Center of Block Reusa. The CHO, ANM, Asha and Anganwadi workers of the center together took a meaningful initiative towards environmental protection by planting trees.

In this program organized in the center premises at around 10 am, women health workers expressed their commitment towards creating a healthy environment. The workers planted a sapling collectively and pledged to organize such programs regularly in future.

The women participating in the program said that environmental protection is not just a one-day program but a matter of continuous effort. He talked about promoting works like planting trees, water conservation and spreading cleanliness awareness at the local level.

CHO Shilpi Singh said, “This small effort of all of us on World Environment Day shows our participation in the conservation of nature. Together with Asha, ANM and Anganwadi sisters, we will try to make the community aware.”

This program has been a positive one towards environmental protection at the local level. Underlining the importance of community participation, these Health Department employees have appealed to other citizens to actively participate in tree plantation.
