Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ created havoc at the box office on the very first day, created a mega-record by beating ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Dhurandhar’

The sports drama film ‘Peddi’, directed by director Buchi Babu Sana, has finally been released in theaters after a long wait. The same craze that was seen among the fans regarding this Telugu film, which is one of the most awaited films of recent times, has been seen at the box office as well. Even before the release of the film, the speculations that were being made about its business proved to be completely correct on the first day. ‘Peddi’ had established its dominance at the box office in terms of advance booking even before its release. According to the report, the film had earned a bumper amount of Rs 20 crore only through advance booking, under which more than 82 lakh tickets were pre-booked across the country. On June 4, the film hit the screens in a grand manner in around 3,000 theaters across the country. Although the original version of the film is in Telugu language, due to the popularity of the film’s lead actresses Jhanvi Kapoor and Ram Charan in North India, there is a lot of enthusiasm among cinema lovers about its Hindi dubbed version.

According to the latest report of the famous box office tracking website Sacknilk, Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ has registered an impressive net collection of Rs 38.93 crore at the Indian box office on the very first day. If we talk about the India gross collection of the film, then this figure has reached the magical level of Rs 67.77 crore. With these fantastic figures, the total opening day collection of ‘Peddi’ has been recorded at Rs 57.43 crore. As expected, the film’s biggest profit came from its original Telugu version, where it collected Rs 35.51 crore alone. Apart from this, a collection of Rs 2.65 crore has been achieved from Hindi version, Rs 47 lakh from Tamil, Rs 22 lakh from Kannada and Rs 8 lakh from Malayalam version.

This film of Ram Charan has destroyed the first day records of Ranveer Singh’s big budget film ‘Dhurandhar’ and Sunny Deol’s all-time blockbuster ‘Gadar 2’. If we look at the box office history, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ took an opening of Rs 30 crore on the first day, while Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ did a business of Rs 40 crore on its first day. By defeating both these big films, Ram Charan has proved why he is considered the real box office sultan of Indian cinema. There may be an even bigger jump in the earnings of this film in the coming weekend.
