Lottery held for UP teachers! Government gave 6 big good news
Yogi government has opened a box of happiness for Master Saheb and Madam who teach in council schools of Uttar Pradesh. The Basic Education Council has given the green signal to the process of Inter-District Transfer i.e. transfer from one district to another for the new academic session 2026-27.
This time, some amazing changes have been made in the new system, which will provide great relief to the teachers suffering from serious illness, disability and family reasons. On behalf of the Council, strict instructions have been given to all the District Basic Education Officers (BSA) to forward the applications within the stipulated time. Let us know which 6 big gifts are hidden in this time’s transfer policy.
1. The hassle of years of service is over, now there will be no obligation of minimum service.
This time, the biggest and relief news that has come for the teachers is that the condition of minimum years of service (service period) for transfer has been completely abolished. This means that now any eligible teacher can apply for direct transfer regardless of the years of his service. Now we will not have to wait for years for this.
2. Disabled teachers will get first priority, path becomes easier
Special care has been taken of disabled teachers in the new policy. If any teacher or teacher, their spouse or their unmarried son or daughter is suffering from disability of 40 percent or more, then they can apply for transfer without any hesitation. For this you just have to show the Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority.
3. Families suffering from serious illness will also get full opportunity
Teachers suffering from a fatal disease like cancer or dependent on dialysis or their unmarried children will also be considered fully eligible under this transfer policy. In such sensitive cases, it will be necessary to provide medical certificate from a government hospital. At the same time, if someone is being treated in a big private hospital, then it will be mandatory to get it verified from the concerned government official.
4. Now husband and wife will be able to live in the same district, the government will give a chance to live together.
The government has also shown a big heart for the couples living in different districts due to jobs. If both husband and wife are working in council schools of Basic Education Department, then they can now get a great opportunity to transfer to the same district. With this, they will be able to easily balance their family life and job. However, the final decision on this will be taken only after looking at the Teacher-Pupil Ratio of that district.
5. The application process became very easy and transparent
All applications for transfer will be forwarded through the BSA of the concerned district only. For this, a special format i.e. prescribed format has been prepared, so that the entire process remains systematic and completely transparent. Keep in mind that any application received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered.
6. The luck of the teachers who got promotion also improved
Teachers who have recently been promoted can also be a part of this transfer process and apply. However, there will be a condition for them that they will have to apply for the same district where they are eligible for promotion on the basis of their original appointment date.
But wait! Know these important conditions before applying
Along with the good news, you also have to keep some rules in mind. Transfer will be done only from school in rural area to rural area (Rural to Rural) and from school in urban area to urban area (Urban to Urban). Apart from this, only regular teachers can fill the form for this.
One of the most important things is that the teacher getting transfer will have to give an affidavit that as soon as he goes to the new district, he will accept the lowest position in the seniority list there. After this, he will not be able to make any legal claim in future regarding his old seniority or promotion.
