According to a Bloomberg report, the price of gold fell about 3.6% to $4,315.35 an ounce on Friday, ending its year-long gains. The report said the strong labor market means the Fed may consider raising interest rates, especially as energy and fuel prices are rising due to the conflict. It also states that high interest rates are generally not good for precious metals like gold, because they do not provide any yield.
