PM Kisan 23rd Installment: 23rd installment may come on this day, but the money of these farmers will be stuck!
PM Kisan 23rd Installment: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme has become a very strong financial support for crores of farmers of the country. Through this scheme, the government transfers financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 to eligible farmers every year in three equal installments of ₹ 2,000 directly into their bank accounts (Direct Benefit Transfer – DBT).
Recently, the government had successfully released the 22nd installment into the accounts of farmers from Guwahati, Assam on March 13, 2026, which directly benefited more than 9.32 crore farmers. Now the eyes of all the beneficiaries are fixed on the upcoming 23rd installment.
If you are also a farmer or someone in your family does farming, then without any hesitation, know in simple words what is the latest update regarding the 23rd installment and what important tasks you should complete immediately.
When will the 23rd installment of PM Kisan come? (Expected Date)
Under PM Kisan Yojana, installment is released at an interval of every 4 months. According to this, the time for the first installment of the year is between April to July.
Expected date: According to official sources and previous patterns, the government can release the amount of the 23rd installment anytime during June or July 2026.
However, no fixed date has been announced yet by the government, but its preparations are in the final stages.
Without these 3 tasks your ₹2,000 may get stuck
The government has now implemented “Fidelity Era” to bring transparency in this scheme and prevent fraud. If any of these 3 steps are incomplete, the money will be stuck despite your eligibility:
1. e-KYC is mandatory
It has been made completely mandatory for all old and new farmers to get e-KYC done. According to the rules of 2026, it is necessary to complete e-KYC by June 30, 2026 to avail the benefit of the upcoming installment.
How to do: You can do this yourself through OTT by visiting pmkisan.gov.in portal. Apart from this, e-KYC can also be done sitting at home through Face Authentication (by showing the face) on PM Kisan mobile app without any device. This can also be completed through biometrics by going to the nearest public service center (CSC).
2. Land Seeding
The cultivable land registered in your name must be linked to the government records. If ‘No’ is written in front of Land Seeding in your status, then you will have to immediately contact the Patwari or Revenue Officer of your area and get it rectified.
3. Basis and Bank Account Link (Aadhaar Seeding)
Your bank account should be linked to your Aadhar card and the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) option should be active in it. Even a small mistake in bank details (like IFSC code) can stop your money at the government gateway.

How to check your ‘Beneficiary Status’ (Step-by-Step Status Check)
To know whether you will get the next installment or not, check your status with these simple steps:
- First of all go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
- Scroll down to ‘Farmers Corner’ section and click on ‘Know Your Status’.
- Enter your registration number (if you do not know the number, you can get it from Aadhaar or mobile number by clicking on ‘Know your registration number’).
- Fill the captcha code and click on ‘Get Data’.
- Your complete status will appear on the screen. Check here whether ‘YES’ is green ticked next to e-KYC, Land Seeding and Eligibility or not.
Conclusion
PM Kisan Yojana is an excellent means for small and marginal farmers to meet their needs of seeds, fertilizers and other farming needs on time. The government now wants to extend benefits only to those genuine farmers whose documents are completely clean. Therefore, double-check your e-KYC and bank details before the end of June, so that as soon as the 23rd installment arrives, the message of deposit of ₹ 2,000 comes on your mobile without any interruption!
